Your focus.
Your privacy.
Zenolyth processes your focus rules and history on your Mac. It does not send that data to a developer server.
No Zenolyth account. No advertising or tracking SDKs. No developer-operated analytics service.
Who this policy covers
This policy describes the Zenolyth macOS app, provided by Zixiang Zhang, and support requests you send about it. Website visits are covered separately by the website privacy policy.
Data stored on your Mac
Zenolyth saves profiles, website rules, application identifiers, schedules, preferences, and focus-session history locally. History can include session times, breaks, blocked website hostnames, and blocked application identifiers or names. Website-block history records the hostname, not a URL’s path, query, or fragment. Your saved rules may contain the website patterns you enter.
This information powers blocking, schedules, and Insights. Zenolyth does not upload it to us or synchronize it through a developer account.
Browser and application access
With macOS Automation permission, Zenolyth reads the active tab’s address in each supported browser window to compare it with your rules. A matching tab is redirected to a focus page bundled with the app. This comparison happens locally; Zenolyth does not retrieve your browser’s browsing-history database.
Application blocking uses local running-application information to identify apps covered by your rules. The application picker reads installed application names, identifiers, and icons. You can change Automation permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation; disabling them stops the corresponding browser control.
Purchases
Apple processes subscriptions, trials, payments, and refunds. Zenolyth reads verified product and transaction information through StoreKit to recognize purchases, restore them, and check trial eligibility. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple’s handling of account and payment data is described in Apple’s privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
Local rules and history remain on your Mac until removed or changed. We cannot remotely view or erase that data. The support page explains how to remove Zenolyth’s local data. Backups made by macOS or other software may keep separate copies under your backup settings. Removing local data does not cancel an Apple subscription or erase Apple’s purchase records.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and resolve the issue; our email provider processes those messages to deliver and store the correspondence. Please avoid including sensitive browsing details or payment information.
We retain support correspondence as needed to handle your request and related follow-up. You can request deletion of that correspondence by emailing us. We do not sell support information or use it for advertising.
Changes and contact
We will update this page and its effective date if these practices change. For privacy questions or requests, contact kircerta@gmail.com.
